Haley's comet is coming: (Galveston USA)
Cassidy Haley has been trying to set up a proper Texas show for a while. After some close calls, he's bringing the sparkle to an unlikely place -- next month's Galveston Pride celebration.
"I performed in Houston in March (at a Lone Star College acoustic show) and was pleasantly surprised at how beautiful and interesting the city was," Haley says.
"As different as one might think Texans are from Californians, I am continually surprised at how much of a common thread we all seem to have. I feel right at home in this town."
Haley has amassed a strong local following via 2009 EP Little Boys & Dinosaurs and new full-length disc The Fool. His sound is a mix of electronic, pop and folk. Haley's video for Whiskey In Churches made him a viral star. Before committing full-time to music, Haley was a founder and partner in Skingraft, a boutique fashion label whose client list includes Beyoncé, Fergie, Margaret Cho and Adam Lambert.
